MY Father changed me - THE Father changes us all

MY Father changed me - THE Father changes us all

MY Father changed me - THE Father changes us all

Happy Father’s Day to all of you dads!

Happy Father’s Day to all of you stepdads!

Happy Father’s Day to all of you grandads!

And Happy Father’s Day to all of you men, regardless of your title, who mentor the next generation!

My dad was my hero. He still is. He's in Heaven now.

He was the first man in my life that I wanted to emulate.

And what I really wanted was for him to be proud of me.

Jesus wanted that.

He came to earth "to do his Father's will."

He wanted his Father to be proud of him too.

But what if you don't have a Father?

Psalm 68:5 tells us he will be a “Father of the fatherless".

Have you accepted Him?

When you & I try to go it alone, it gets messed up.

When you & I do it "The Father's way" we get blessed.

We get reassured, and we all gain confidence.

God created men to love & to lead.

Boy have we screwed that model up in today's culture.

I get mad, and even sad when I see where our culture is today.

But I've also resolved to do my best & be the best I can.

To my kids; to my step kids; to my grandkids.

To men in our business, in our ministry, to men everywhere.

Would you join me?

Would you mentor down to the next generation?

Let The Father change you... and pass it down.

My friend, Tim Elmore recently quoted John Crosby when he said "A mentor is simply a brain to pick, a shoulder to cry on, and a kick in seat of the pants."
